Corian® Solid Surface Makes Creative Visions Real

Corian ® Solid Surface can be whatever you imagine it can be. Undulating, virtually seamless, organic shapes, bold effects of color and translucency if you can dream it, you can create it with Corian ®

KRION™ the Solid Surface from PORCELANOSa Group

KRION™ is a new generation solid surface developed by Krion Porcelanosa Grupo. It’s a stone-like material that’s warm to the touch.

Feeding & Mixing

The raw materials were carefully selected, examined and then blended together (quartz, pigments and polymers).

Molding, Pressing & Thermoforming

Then the mixture is poured into a mold and formed into 306x144 cm or 120x57 inches slab size. It is compressed and vibrated in a vacuum under very high pressure (nearly 100 tons psi). This removes all the air and creates a surface that is compressed.

Curing

The slabs are then moved to the healing kiln and heated for 45 minutes to 90 ° C, providing the finished resistance and strength levels.

Polishing

In a wide range of colors and models, the slabs are gaged, measured and then polished to a perfect finish.

Quality Testing

Each slab is then subjected to rigorous quality testing to ensure that it meets our extremely high color, hue and consistency standards.

Tagging

The slabs are then numbered, sorted and marked to ensure that they meet our customers in perfect condition and join our distribution system.
